Mentor One’s Randy Monroe continues to take advantage of the strong foundation he has built for his business over the last 12 months. He has focused on sales activities and saw a 15 percent sales increase over the past year. His current ratio is 2.1:1. He has cash in the bank and strong cash flow. Like all printers, he faces challenges from the economy but he is doing what is necessary to continue to prosper. His blog and online activities have raised the bar for others in CPrint® on how to use the new technology to promote their business and create an expert image in the marketplace. His focus on success has earned Randy Monroe this year’s management award for the Mentor One Board.

Randy also won the sales award for a 15% sales increase over last year.

Our management award is often presented for overcoming adversity. However this affiliate has overcome the greatest challenge of them all . . . the challenge of displaying consistency over time. Instead of searching for a “magic” silver bullet they have executed the secret to success in any business . . . they make the phone calls, send out their direct mail, and keep in close contact with their existing customers day in and day out without fail. Because of their daily efforts they were able to easily absorb having their number one customer leave and just keep on plugging away.

In keeping with this tradition they have also been able to achieve some personal goals. Personal fitness is achieved much the same way financial fitness is achieved; by doing the same old boring things day in and day out without fail. These two folks have been able to achieve their targeted weight loss (a part of their action plan) by exercising the same way they sell . . . with consistency and dedication.

Their experience is a wonderful example of how to achieve any goal. No flash and flare, no secret sauce. If you want to be successful, learn to chop wood and carry water. For doing every day what is most important rather than most fun, this year’s print shop management award goes to Nancy DeDiemar and Patrick Jones of Printing Resources!
